what is in a name

What is in a name?

Apparently more than I had realised! This is my third post for 2018, a mighty average of one every three months. To be fair I have relocated country, and that process is still unfolding. In concert with that, as have mentioned, I am in re-branding mode (which will make an appearance here soon). Having taken some time to arrive at a new name, Going Which Way, I have subsequently found out after renaming my Etsy store, which you are only allowed to do once (which I agree with) I cannot update the bank account to one from another country. The downside of this is that it translates to additional fees if I sell my items in NZ currency (my new location). Etsy has been very clear in its communications with me and tried to be helpful within the limitations that exist.

The most obvious solution is to create a new Etsy shop – and herein lies my dilemma – I cannot have the aforementioned name, Going Which Way, as my existing store has that  name. Even if I closed that store down the name can not be re-used for another store. Now to be fair my Etsy store is, and may always, remain a hobby. It is a creative outlet, not a primary source of income. However this naming issue has kind of stopped me in my tracks, a real stumbling block. This blog, including the paid domain name, Instagram and Twitter handles, Pinterest, and new email address are all GoingWhichWay.

So what should I call my new shop? My ideas have been a little on the average side, see below, so I need your inspiration and help.  All suggestions welcome
